Races through the book and tried to cram everything in, at the expense of genuine storytelling. And armoured bears fighting without armour, just for a cheap moment of uncertainty? Bah!

This tv show is awesome! Reminds me a little of Game of Throwns, without the graphic violence at least in season 1. The content isn’t like Game of Trowns at all, but it feels similar. It does have many religious symbolism, but they aren’t so overwhelming that it’s annoying. There are only 8 episodes in season 1, so we watched the whole season within a week. Looking forward to season 2, and I also want to read the books!

Brilliant, ambitious and perfectly done. It's a fantastic story... (read the books years ago and loved). and this series has done a great job of catching the mood and magic... As with any book adaptation there are going to be things that are missed in the symbolism, the back story and development of supporting characters. It probably helps to read the books first, but unlike the hollywood movie, this series is not a let down at all. The next season can't come soon enough for me.
