About this show

A warm, funny, feel-good series chronicling the adventures of a quirky English family who uproot to a gorgeous Greek island in hopes of a better life. Based on author and naturalist Gerald Durrell’s much-loved Corfu trilogy of novels, The Durrells in Corfu sees impoverished but sparky widow Louisa Durrell (Keeley Hawes, MI-5) make the radical decision to leave 1930s England to seek out a new destiny for her family before she and her children go completely off the rails. As Louisa relocates her reluctant brood to a dilapidated house in the Greek sun, the Durrells face a whole new set of challenges as they meet new friends, rivals, lovers—and animals.

Simply THE BEST show ever. LOVE it! There are so many memorable episodes that reminded me of my own family growing up. The characters are all very well-rounded and each one loveable in their very own way. This drama has everything from quirky to adventure to heartbreak. I could watch this series every day just to be close to Corfu and especially the Durrell's.
