About this show

Before Inspector Morse, there was the rookie Constable Morse, fed up with police work and ready to nip his career in the bud by handing in his resignation. That is, until a murder turned up that only he could solve. Shaun Evans (The Take, The Virgin Queen) stars as the young Endeavour Morse, before his signature red Jaguar but with his deductive powers already running in high gear.

The first few episodes didn't exactly pull me in but at the same time even though this show is very slow going it just keeps sucking you in. The more shows you watch the more you want and the writing and acting is absolutely amazing! Can't wait for season 4!

Wasn't sure John Thaw was replaceable. But Shaun Evans is so thoroughly believable as a young Morse. And his mentor Thursday - this series brings back the glory of "Morse". Looking forward to Series 3, and Series 4!!

Enthralling as well as slowly building dramatic tension with Endeavour's superb cast, writers, directors and most importantly the crew in this modern period show!
