About this show

Provocative, authentic and unforgettable. Based on the groundbreaking Israeli series, Season 1 of this intense HBO drama puts a fresh spin on the coming-of-age narrative. Serving as a guide through the teenage landscape of substance-enhanced parties and anxiety-ridden daily life is 17-year-old Rue Bennett (multimedia star Zendaya), a drug addict fresh from rehab, who's struggling to stay clean and make sense of her future. Her life changes drastically when she meets Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer), a trans girl who recently moved to town following her parents' divorce, and, like Rue, is searching for where she belongs. The supporting cast includes Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Algee Smith, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow and Barbie Ferreira.

First season was really good in regards to the characters and cinematography. 2nd season just fell off hard for me. Rue's story is consistent but got some unrealistic outcomes which keep in mind, she's a drug addict and a Black girl who got away from the police easily with no consequences. Other characters unfortunately got a bad wrap off and everything just feels like one big porno music video. I gave up

I watched both seasons. Lots of unnecessary sexual content, trying to maintain some sort of porn-like shock value. The Jules and Rue coupling is grating to watch. I fast forward through the endless music montages cinematizing the world of adolescence. (Eye roll.) ALSO, and this is important, where I come from, people who borrow 10k in drugs and don’t pay it back, get dead, but in Euphoria, nothing happens. It’s just a big empty plot hole. If you can tolerate all that, maybe you’ll like the show.

It was getting a lot of hype so I watched the show. I think it had unecassary things in their and I didn't want to see parts of it cause I was getting bored. Was good though and Alexa and Sydney are queens ☺️
