Season 1 episodes (11)

1 Pilot
Dr. Lee Rosen (David Strathairn) and his team of Alphas, extraordinary individuals who can stretch the capabilities of the human mind, investigate an implausible murder at the behest of the Department of Defense. After determining that the assailant is completely unaware of his muderous action, they quickly realize a powerful group of extremist Alphas, known as Red Flag, is working against them. While incorporating a new member into their quirky fold, our team of Alphas must stop Red Flag and prevent the killing of the next target -- one of their own.
2 Cause and Effect
Marcus, a former patient of Dr. Rosen's (David Strathairn) with the ability to set off a chain reaction of events with a predetermined outcome, escapes from Binghamton, a facility designed to detain and train Alphas. His escape causes Rosen to reexamine his tenuous relationship with the government, while he's being forced to get acquainted with his new Department of Defense liaison, Agent Sullivan (guest star Valerie Cruz). Meanwhile the rest of the team continues to balance their personal lives while continuing to work with Rosen.
3 Anger Management
The team of Alphas, including new member Hicks (Warren Christie), relocates to new offices in Queens after the attack on Dr. Rosen's (David Strathairn) life. While adjusting to their new surroundings the team investigates a series of violent public riots that are breaking out on the east coast. The only connection between the riots is a runaway teen, an Alpha, who overproduces certain pheromones that causes people nearby to become violent. Rosen's team must find a way to stop this Alpha without losing control themselves.
4 Rosetta
Moving in on a Red Flag stranglehold, Dr. Rosen (David Strathairn) and his team encounter a group of Alphas with unfathomable abilities. After they escape capture, Gary (Ryan Cartwright) connects with their prisoner, Anna, an autistic young woman with the ability to understand all languages. Using her abilities Anna helps Gary, Rosen and the team uncover that Red Flag is plotting a large-scale terrorist attack that might change the existence of Alphas as we know it.
5 Never Let Me Go
As Rachel (Azita Ghanizada) returns home from her first date with new suitor, their first kiss overloads her senses. Back at the office, Dr. Rosen (David Strathairn) and his team of Alphas become official members of the Defense Criminal Investigation Service (DCIS) courtesy of Agent Sullivan (guest star Valerie Cruz). Their first assignment takes them to Pennsylvania where an outbreak of sudden deaths involving a local high school are suspected to be the work of an Alpha.
6 Bill and Gary's Excellent Adventure
After Gary (Ryan Cartwright) accidentally ends up in jail and Harken (Malik Yoba) goes to bail him out, they stumble upon an active FBI case concerning the kidnapping of a wealthy university student. Hicks (Warren Christie) and Nina (Laura Mennell) grow closer after a detective questions her about the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of her former boyfriend.
7 Catch and Release
Agent Sullivan (Valerie Cruz) charges Dr. Rosen (David Strathairn) and the Alphas team with tracking down and protecting Skylar (guest star Summer Glau), an Alpha and technology whiz with a penchant for amazing inventions which, in the wrong hands, could prove highly dangerous.
8 A Short Time in Paradise
Hicks (Warren Christie) and Nina (Laura Mennell) fall under the spell of Jonas (guest star Garret Dillahunt) an Alpha and charismatic cult leader willing to lead his followers to their deaths.
9 Blind Spot
The team finds themselves under siege by an undetectable Alpha. Guest starring Brent Spiner and Rebecca Mader.
10 The Unusual Suspects
When a member of the team is suspected of being an agent for Red Flag, Dr. Rosen (David Strathairn) and the Alphas are abducted and held against their will in the Binghamton facility until the traitor is revealed.
11 Original Sin
Dr. Rosen (David Strathairn) and his team must decide who to trust when Red Flag, led by Stanton Parish (guest star John Pyper-Ferguson), escalates the war on the Department of Defense.

About this show

Alphas is an action-packed thriller from writers Zak Penn (The Avengers, X-Men: The Last Stand) and Michael Karnow. In the series, five ordinary people are brought together to form one extraordinary team of Alphas -- people with the unique power to stretch the capabilities of the human mind giving them superhuman physical and mental abilities. Operating within the Defense Criminal Investigation Service of the U.S. Department of Defense and led by preeminent neurologist and psychiatrist Dr. Lee Rosen (Emmy Award-winner and Academy Award-nominee David Strathairn), an expert in Alpha phenomena, the team investigates cases that point to others with Alpha abilities. As they work against the clock to solve this new brand of crime, they must prevent their own personality differences and disparate backgrounds from interfering with their ultimate mission to catch the enemy. The ensemble cast also stars Malik Yoba (New York Undercover, Why Did I Get Married?), Warren Christie (October Road), Laura Mennell (Watchmen), Ryan Cartwright (Mad Men, Bones) and Azita Ghanizada (Castle).

If you like X-Men than you'll love Alphas. Every character is flawed and by extension "believeable". Gary is funny, keeps the show from getting too serious for the subject matter. The "Government" doing what it does best is a dark subject, Alex Jones is a perfect example of that. Although this show does a superficial homage to that type of oppression.

I will be honest I did not watch this show when it came out because I was mad they Canceled Stargate Universe. I Got it on Google play and it was totally rad. Super powers political machination interesting characters. Also so far Episode 4 I have seen nothing scientifically inaccurate enough to make me mad even though of course it is science fiction so all and all a good Scifi show.

If you want action, romance, and humans with extreme DNA sequencing. This show is for you. I've been a fan since the pilot, and record on my DVR, to watch within 3 days, so it gets counted, in the rating system networks use to determine who's watching what. I really think this show has the potential to go for 200(episodes) Here's to that "clink of my Irish Stout mugs" gotta have it
