About this show

Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), devoid of bedside manner and dealing with his own constant physical pain, uses a cane that punctuates his acerbic, brutally honest demeanor. His behavior often borders on antisocial, but House is a brilliant diagnostician whose unconventional thinking and flawless instincts afford him a great deal of respect. An infectious disease specialist, he thrives on the challenge of solving medical puzzles in order to save lives. House shepherds an elite team of experts who help him unravel diagnostic mysteries. He has a confidant and good friend in oncology specialist Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), and maintains a somewhat volatile and undefined relationship with Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), the Dean of Medicine and hospital administrator. Though the two are in constant conflict over House's duties and unconventional behavior, even she would admit that his brilliance is worth the trouble.

Great show, at a great steal with Google Play's Cyber Monday sale: $14.99 a season, in HD?! Considering each season usually goes for $44.99 each (in HD), and not to mention almost every season is over 20 episodes, you can't beat it!! My only complaint is that Season 5 is at full price for some odd reason. I wish I would've known this before purchasing the other seasons. As much as I love House, and as good of a deal this Cyber Monday promotion is, it's kind of pointless if it doesn't apply to ALL seasons. I'm not sure if this is some sort of fluke in the Google Play Store, or if Fox / Google decided to drastically discount every season EXCEPT Season 5 for whatever reason. I even called up Google Play customer support, but the representative wasn't sure what was going on either. He said he would have to look into it and get back to me, but I highly doubt I'll get a response from Google (as usual). I'm considering getting a refund for the seven seasons I purchased if Season 5 doesn't get re-adjusted to the Cyber Monday rate. As much as I would love to own one of the greatest shows on tv, I can just as easily watch it on Netflix for free :P

I liked this show in the beginning, but as a nurse, I have seen too many docs like House. (Only not as smart as he is) It infuriates me when I hear a doctor being rude to patients - especially psych patients or patients with terminal diseases. Have some compassion, or how about some empathy. They are doing the best they can under very difficult circumstances! I think every health care worker should have to spend some time as a patient _ enduring humiliating procedures, done by someone who has no respect for the patient's privacy or who ignores their complaints of pain. Sorry, I don't mean to rant, but I am very passionate about this subject!

Unpleasant? In the regards to the Google Movie & TV shows App. & Approx 49.9% of the movies alone? I could not enjoy cause I'd have to pay for 5, to 6 movie apps, Example:: Tubi TV, Prime videos, Crackle, Pluto TV, just for starters. I entered the math correctly and to no surprise,, take all the fees from google TV & Movies App & enterred the % in dollars on an average% of rent & fees price some $14.99.. + All the fees one has to payout for Prime video, xumo, showbox, hulu, youtube, Alot $$
