It seems like an interesting story but if you study the Word of God you will see that this film is entertainment Hollywood style with a trace of truth in it which was used to build a fallacy. The portrayal of Pilate's character is totally out of harmony with the Biblical record. If you know your Bible history and the history of Rome, this movie is far removed from what actually took place. Pilate yielded to the demands of the mob even though he knew that Jesus was a Holy Man, the sent of God, which was declared by the letter from his wife. And rather than risk losing his position, he delivered Jesus up to be crucified. This was not even hinted at in the film. But in spite of his precautions, the very thing the real Pilate dreaded, afterward came upon him. His honours were stripped from him, he was cast down from his high office, and, stung by remorse and wounded pride, not long after the crucifixion he ended his own life. So all who compromise with sin will gain only sorrow and ruin. “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12. "The Desire of Ages" 738.3

Very good depiction of the thruth and stories written in scripture. Showcasing bits and pieces of the power of God was incredibly refreshing. Preaching the gospel, "For God so loved the world, he sent his only begotten son to die for the sins of this evil world; and whosoever believes this shall not die but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 The actors were so well selected. I really appreciated the 1st 12 episodes. It would be great for it to continue on through The New Testament.

Great interpretation of the clash of two parallel stories. Great actors. Nice use of pro and antogonist clashes throughout. Well done Mark and Roma! My grade 9 student daughter, studying Roman history, was facinated to see the characters on screen (Tiberias, Culigula, etc.). Thank you!
