Vol. 4 & Vol. 5 episodes (16)

1 Police Cars
8/14/12
It's the battle of The Big 3 as the guys compete over which is the best new police car to replace the Crown Vic in a series of madcap challenges around Detroit, Michigan. The winner gets to race the fastest police car in the country -- the Corvette ZO6 - in an action film-style chase through the docks of Long Beach as he tries to catch a 'perp' wheeling the ultimate escape vehicle.
2 Small Cars
8/21/12
Small cars work in the rest of the world - but will they ever work in the U.S.? The guys try to answer that question in Louisiana, where they go from the narrow city streets of New Orleans to deep inside Cajun Country. There, they'll have to hunt and survive alongside the locals - and whoever does worst must endure visiting their hometown in the world's smallest car.
3 Cult Classics
8/28/12
Could you own a classic car and not know it? The guys each get a car they think is seriously undervalued and set out to rehabilitate its image before creating a live commercial in San Diego - and attempting to sell their cars for a profit. The losers have to entertain two celebrities in a race with twice the car and half the horsepower they were promised.
4 One Tank
9/4/12
How far can you get on one tank of gas? They guys find out as they race from Portland, Oregon to San Francisco with their fuel doors sealed. The winner gets the chance to drive the toughest off-road machine in the world in a high-octane race in the remote Colorado mountains.
5 The Tractor Challenge
9/18/12
The guys head to rural California to lend a farming hand in three of the biggest tractors on the market. It quickly descends into chaos as they try to transport livestock, move heavy equipment and complete farm chores. We then review the crushingly fast Lamborghini Aventador - and see how its claims stack up in a race against a crop dusting plane.
6 Monument to Moab
9/25/12
Do you really need an expensive 4x4 to tackle one of the toughest off road trails in the country?  The guys don't think so, and to prove their point choose three cars that can be found in any rental fleet in the US and attempt to complete the epic journey from Monument Valley to Moab, Utah.
7 College Cars
1/29/13
It's a battle to see who had the best car in college as the guys drive south of the border on an epic spring break road trip through Mexico. They tackle the tough streets of Tijuana and the treacherous mountain trails of the Baja Peninsula on their journey to reach the party town of San Felipe on the Sea of Cortez.
8 America's Toughest Cars
2/5/13
What's America's toughest, most un-killable car?  The guys each pick the toughest car they can think of and put them through a series of brutal tests using shotguns, bombs and a giant crane.  The winner gets to go head-to-head against the U.S. military in one of the toughest SUV's on the planet.
9 RV's
2/12/13
RV's are roomy and comfortable, but they're terrible to drive, and that's not good enough.  So to solve this issue, the hosts design their own RVs that have to be not only comfortable but also fun to drive, and take them on a southern road trip.  Along the way they compete in a series of wild challenges, culminating at the famous infield of Charlotte Motor Speedway.
10 150 Miles Per Hour
2/19/13
Getting to 150 mph used to be the preserve of supercars. These days you can reach that speed in a new 30,000 dollar car, but what's the least you can spend and still reach this epic speed? The guys find out as they spend as little as possible on 3 used cars, put them through their paces and then head out to the famous El Mirage dry lakebed to attempt to reach 150. The winner gets to review the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse - the fastest and most expensive production car in the world.
11 Taxis
2/26/13
Being a taxi driver always ranks among the worst jobs in the country, so the guys head to Las Vegas on a quest to create the ultimate taxi, aiming to keep both driver and passengers happy. After getting some experience riding along with real cabbies, they reveal their creations, put them through a series of tests and then hit the Vegas strip to see who can get the most tips. Then we review the newest supercar to come out of the UK -- the McLaren MP4-12C, and see how it stacks up against a good old American NASCAR Cup car.
12 Adam's Show
3/5/13
We find out what goes on in Adam's head as he takes control of the show and gets to do whatever he wants. First he tries to teach Tanner and Rut how to play football - with an automotive twist. Then he reveals his own concept car designed to protect you against the worst things on the road - other drivers. Finally, he gets behind the wheel of the legendary Ford GT40 and puts a bizarre twist on the classic Le Mans race where Ford beat Ferrari, with an unsuspecting Rutledge at the wheel of the Ferrari.
13 Doomsday Drive
3/12/13
The guys attempt to build the perfect car for the apocalypse -- affordable, fun to drive, and still zombie-proof. After testing its performance, weaponry, and defenses, they have to race across a ghost town with the Post-Apocalypse Stig in hot pursuit.
14 Mammoth Mountain
3/19/13
Which is the best SUV in the country? Our hosts find out as they each choose their favorite and meet up on California's Pismo Beach. They then set out on an epic journey inland through vineyards and desert before climbing high into the Sierras above the snow line, putting their choices through a series of SUV themed challenges along the way.
15 Minnesota Ice Driving
3/26/13
Getting your car ready for winter can cost a lot of cash and the brutal weather can cause serious wear and tear. So the Top Gear hosts set out to solve this issue by finding 3 cars that cost less than it costs to prepare your car for the snow and ice and put them through a series of tough challenges to find out which is the best winter car.
16 Viking Trucks
4/2/13
The hosts head to Iceland - home of some of the toughest winter off-roading on the planet - to try and prove to the locals that American trucks still have what it takes to conquer the world.  Their challenge is to drive their trucks over mountains, across frozen rivers and through 30 foot deep snowdrifts to the virgin land at the top of an active volcano.  What could possibly go wrong?

About this show

The history of the automobile and the history of America are intimately intertwined; to celebrate one is to celebrate the other. Featuring super-cars, extreme stunts and challenges, car reviews and celebrity interviews, the U.S. version of the wildly popular BBC series Top Gear promises high-adrenaline action entertainment as it tracks the colorful history of the automobile. Top Gear on History is a perfect fit for anyone with a love of cars, showcasing an offbeat celebration of automobiles and driving as well as the eccentric adventures of its hosts -- comedian Adam Ferrara, stunt driver and champion rally and drift racer Tanner Foust, and car-obsessed racing analyst Rutledge Wood -- with the UK version's customary wit and humor.

They are trying to make something that has been 10+ years in the making in the u.k. Forget it with this bunch!! Tanner is an over egoed smattass and a cheater on the challenges. Not to mention that almost nothing they do is actually funny because you know its scripted!! For example, in the one ton truck challenge, Tanner "the cheating race driver" Foust shows up with an F-450!! That's a 1.5 ton truck!!! Give it up guys and go back to whatever you did before this show!!

And you wonder why the rest of the planet hates us! Use your brains and not your mouths for once!
