This series masterfully merges entertainment and political statement. SNL style skits combined with behind-the-scenes storylines create a depth to the characters that are on and off the set of a late night sketch show. It was relevant, educational, interesting, and no character was left undeveloped. In just one season, Studio 60 managed to accomplish more character development and series arc than most shows manage in three. It is truly a shame it only had a 22-episode run.

From start to finish, this show is well written, clever, punchy, and real. The characters might be more witty than anyone you ever will meet, but they are all people, and all of them have a story. Though there's only one season, the show starts and ends neatly, and the show never wears out its welcome. Buy the whole season; you're going to binge.
