This is one of the most thoughtful, influential pieces of television that I have seen in the last fifteen years. While it is not based around action, it tells a compelling story of a doctor caught up in the fast lane of life who moves to a small town in Colorado to start over with his neglected son and daughter after his wife's passing. It strikes so many of the issues that are relevant to everyday life with fantastic acting, photography, plot, setting, ect. This is certainly a great show to watch, and it was sad when it was cancelled during the shift of networks to what is now the CW.

I came late to this show coming across it on a streaming service. I found the overall story line compelling and the various sub plots entertaining with a great mix of characters that kept you wanting more. I have viewed this via streaming and service and on DVD which I recently purchased. However in the reviews of the final episode it mentions a meeting between Amy and Stephanie where Amy tells Stephanie that she intends on telling Ephram how she feels. But this scene is not on the streaming service or DVD versions. Does anyonr know why? This scene would site nicely between the Amy/Hannah discussion on how to tell Ephram and the movie theatre scene where Stephanie/Ephram run into Amy and it would certainly explain the exchange of looks between Amy and Stephanie, can anyone help.

Created by one of the producers of Dawson's Creek, this clever and warming series is great quality TV. I love the interplay among the characters, and the dialogue isn't nearly as verbose as DC. We need more TV like this
