Sanity In A Sea Of Madness
This is a fantastic show. It goes into depth on various topics in a way other shows can-or-do not. The humor is obviously scripted, but like John Stewart's show, the host gives it an improvisational feel; he'll crack jokes with the audience or at himself without any hesitation. While investigating serious topics is a good thing, the way this show does it brings something fresh to the genre. The comedy is frequently spot-on, and clever too. You can find low-brow humor in it, but no one who watches it for more than a few minutes would ever mistake this as something other than sharply intelligent. Whether rightly or wrongly, I've always felt that our British brothers and sisters are very very good at dry humor, and Oliver defaults to it in such a classically British sort of way. Still, this is aimed at a US audience, and given that it's on cable - you're NOT going to find something that is better suited for PBS. Last Week Tonight can be raunchy, but in a way pre-teens might not immediately get. The language is colorful, too. While I hate entertainment journalism, this is the one show that knows how to do it right.

We get it. You have one sided views,😱 you insult those who don't have your views through condescending 'shout at the screen' techniques, snarkly reinforce the views of others who have your views. My way or no other way, throw a tantrum because democracy is only good if it works for me, I'm right your wrong politics, and your opinions will never change. Got it. 🤗 Don't see the point of tuning in, he has nothing new to say. He's right, and you're wrong unless you agree. Same old, same old.

Not meant for those who get offended easily. It almost seems he is a leftist but when it comes to say stuff about the left, he also let's then have it. He also tageta subjects rarely seen in the media but that are also of great concern. LOVE this show... If you think he is too oeftists then you need to see full frontal or I love you America... Same thing but from a feminists/leftists perspective
