Harry almost pulls off the celebration of a lifetime at Manju's 70th. It's a beautiful trip down memory lane, until Ainsley accidentally reveals last year's secret gayby negotiations to Manju, who promptly declares war on her son. It accelerates at lightning speed, to the point of Manju threatening to sell the family home and move into a nursing home. Injured by the scale of her guilt trip, Harry tries to call her bluff, encouraging Ainsley to help her list the house. Meanwhile, the house is rocked by the news that Ben is going on a date with… MEL. She's been quietly courting Ben in the off season, and he's finally succumbed. Heather always said she wanted him to move on… but just quietly, she's unnerved. Liz is surprised when Stuart lands on her door step, demanding the truth...

Liz is wracked with guilt about her multitude of lies to Stuart. To restore her karmic debt, Liz hatches a plan to not only house Manju, but become her full time carer while she recovers from surgery. All of this careful planning proves to be her undoing when Manju spills the beans to Stuart. After all the agonising, over how and when to tell him… Liz has no choice but to confess that she cheated on him, with Geri. Meanwhile, the Ben‐and‐Mel‐dating situation is hotting up. Heather is feeling the full effect of 'Belanie', it bothers her more than she'd like to admit. And Harry uncovers Manju's lifelong secret smoking habit.

In the midst of Manju's health crisis, Ainsley is stunned to learn from her stepmother, Cheryl, that her father, Desmond, has died very suddenly, leaving one hundred percent of his sizeable estate to his only daughter. Cheryl is appalled, threatening to contest the will, and Ainsley finds herself with the capacity to make her own dreams come true. The upside to Cheryl's overreaction is that Ainsley finally gets the clarity to accept what's hers, farewell her complicated dad and be rid of Cheryl's toxicity once and for all. Meanwhile, Col and Ben do a deep dive into Ed and Heather's relationship status. Mel gives Heather a heads up about their covert mission, an unexpected gesture of solidarity that warms Heather's cockles. Manju is now living in the flat and has adapted to all the attention. But Ainsley's decision to shield Manju from Des' death becomes impossibly complicated for Liz.

Heath has found herself in a blissful state ‐ on the verge of uni graduation with Timmy, revelling in her grown up relationship with Ed and their lush surrounds. Her bubble of bliss is soon burst. Not only does Ed foist a graduation party on her, but Timmy turns up to graduation clinically stoned… Meanwhile, Harry is struggling with Manju's prognosis, working extra shifts to avoid his feelings. He's pleasantly surprised by a new patient, Anton, the dreamy real estate agent Harry almost hooked up with at an open house. And the sexual tension between them remains undeniable… And as Liz and Stuart face their moment of truth in couples counselling, deeply buried issues are unearthed.

Little Benny Chigwell is turning 40 and the gang's (reluctantly) honouring the milestone tradition of camping on Simmo's block. Benny's valiant attempts to separate his friendship groups unravel when the boys drop in one night early. Mel's bonding with Mia in a big way, sneaking her grog and stealing chats. One of the more concerning chats is overheard by Liz, who tells Heather the details… and they're sobering to say the very least… Should they tell Ben? Meanwhile Ainsley is struggling with Simmo's expectation that she might start her business in partnership with him. Harry stays home to care for Manju, but can't resist sneaking Anton into the house for the hookup of his teenage dreams.

Elsewhere, Ben and Mel decide to call it quits after the fall out from the camping trip. Heather finally makes her move to Ed's place, but letting go of her housemates is harder than she thinks.

The house is officially parting ways, after four years of close contact and chaos.
