The impossible has been done and I am sure it was no easy task. Serrandon and Lange both handle their parts well, Sarrandon is better, really looking like Davis, while Lange doesn't really look like Joan Crawford, but as you sink into the series, both are extremely believable. This is a really hard thing to accomplish, but I am truly impressed because usually this type of project is a made-for-TV bomb. The settings, costumes and choices of material are well-handled and the editing gives enough tension to make it exciting. I am only 4 episodes in and find all of the supporting characters are TOP RATE... they make it all so fun. It isn't taken too seriously and it is not a parody or camp. Outstanding work all around and I am sure the Emmys will be knocking on someone's door at FX. Oh, and the artist that created the title sequences along with the great music scoring... is amazing and first class!

it is a good show not a great show— seem to be quite a few discrepancies throughout and affecting both main charscters of our pjece, Joan Crawford and Bette Davis— one quite odd portion in the anthology was when the Crawford character played to such perfect nuances, you'd think Ms. Crawford had been rethawed from a crogenix chambre since her death. i loce the duality Murphy does so well especially between two females of a certain age, class and status. my rating: 4.79/5.0
