About this show

"Orange Is the New Black" follows engaged Brooklynite Piper Chapman, whose wild past comes back to haunt her and results in her arrest and detention in a federal penitentiary. To pay her debt to society, Piper trades her comfortable New York life for an orange prison jumpsuit and finds unexpected conflict and camaraderie amidst an eccentric group of inmates.

It's pretty good actually. Not certain what being religious has to do with any of it; it's about prison life. Sure, the main character is an annoying, self-absorbed nitwit but the other characters make up for such an irritation. Certain story lines could have been better developed but overall, not too shabby.

Heather Thompson - I absolutely am in love with this show weather it's realistic or not it's a great show an hate to see it end its final season 7.....I wait all yr for my 4 day binge . it's a great story line and awesome actors.... yea of course it's not real by no means & yea some of the story line got kinda dumb going out of season 4 into five an 6 but still kept my interest through it all an I'm so patiently looking forward to the 7th season......

Dont waste your time on this show. It is beyond unrealistic. Its not well written and just makes you cringe how unrealistic her transformation is in a few months from innocent stand down back off little spoiled girl to trying to be and i quote "gangsta" and giving herself tattoos. She was still a rich, privileged, spoiled girl, responsible for everything. And the depiction of prison was totally wrong. Awful awful awful show.
