I like it. It is basically just like Hawaii life. Hawaii Life seemed to stop airing after their 2018 season and this started in 2019. Makes me wonder if this is the replacement for Hawaii Life. But no announcement from HGTV has been made about Hawaii Life, so it is hard to know. I wonder why it is so hard trying to find out any news about HGTV shows. I can never find out if they have been canceled or renewed. In any case, replacement or not, I hope this continues as it is always nice to think about the possibility of living destinations like these. I do wish this and other series like it would show a little more about living on the island itself - even if it means extending the show by 10 minutes. And I don't mean just showing more zip-line, scuba diving, boating, sun bathing or hiking adventures - that is pretty much mostly what they show between looking at houses. Instead, I wish they would also show a little more of the town and what is like to live where each of the potential houses are. For instance have some scenes showing the different types restaurants and stores are near buy. Show what school options are available and show the traffic. There is certainly traffic in Hawaii and not just in Honolulu. Try driving back from Kihei to Lahaina in the afternoon and you will see what I mean. You know, give a real sense of what it is like to live and work there. Unless you are retired, not every day will be a vacation. I have visited Hawaii a few times, so I know what the vacation/weekend like activities will be and they are great! But visiting is different from living. If Hawaii Hunters would add the type of content that would give us an idea of what it is truly like live in each of these locations - 5-10 minutes of extra content should do, then I think it would deserve 5 stars.
