This show totally had potential. Unfortunately, they blew it. While the show starts out positively, it becomes riddled with adultery, friends lying to each other and murder. This show is more of a revolutionary war soap opera than a spy show. The action (what little there is) is rather poorly done and they skip large chunks of key historic battles. The history itself isn't very accurate either.

The show is excellent, unfortunately there is some issue with Google's content labeling system. I purchased the Season Pass for season two - all of the even numbered episodes have been replaced with a five minute "Inside look" segment instead of the actual episode. I submitted a ticket with Google - we'll see what happens next.

I just found this show and immediately became immersed. I love period pieces based on historical literature like this and others such as John Adams, Boardwalk Empire, Generation Kill and many others. Everyone of them inspired me to read the books they're based on and research further into the events. I just wish they would be a little more historically accurate. But I understand the need to dramatize them for the consumption of television viewers, most of which are wilfully ignorant and easily distracted.
