Grace Travis is a loving wife and mother and one of the bay area's best undercover detectives. She's been on loan with the Oakland Police Department for the past year working undercover as a fixer in Jimmy Laszlo's criminal organization. After her son, Sam, is killed in an apparent drive-by, Grace's life is shattered. When a connection emerges between the shooting and her police work, Grace resumes her undercover life inside Laszlo's organization, against the express orders of her superiors at the Oakland Police Department. Unable to confide anyone, Grace reaches out to her mentor, Mitch, for help in Sam's case.
