In its milestone 25th season, the four-time Emmy®-nominated COPS once again takes viewers across the United States, profiling some of the country's finest law enforcement professionals and most interesting suspects. The trailblazing series was the first reality show to introduce the cinema vérité style to network television and has gone on to become a cultural phenomenon.
Celebrating its landmark 850th episode this season, COPS remains one of the longest-running primetime series currently airing on broadcast television.
COPS has profiled law enforcement agencies in over 140 U.S. cities and has filmed in Europe, Asia and Central and South America. It was the first American television program to follow police in the former Soviet Union. In the upcoming season, COPS will cover the U.S. from coast to coast, filming with police and sheriff's departments in California, Florida, New Jersey, Ohio and Virginia. After a long absence, the show will revisit Broward County, FL, Kansas City, MO, and Sacramento, CA, and for the first time in the series' history, COPS will visit Newport News, VA, and Toledo, OH. Additionally, the 25th season of COPS will feature another unforgettable edition of the holiday special, "Ho! Ho! Ho!"
Created by John Langley, COPS is produced by Langley Productions, Inc. and Fox Television Studios. John Langley and Morgan Langley are executive producers. Doug Waterman serves as supervising producer and Zach Ragsdale as producer. "Like" COPS on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Copstv. Follow the series on Twitter @COPStv and join the discussion at #cops.
