Just waiting for you guys to add season 3 so I can buy it lol got my family, and friends into it. Recently they got cancelled which sucked. But Neil Gaiman is in the works of finding a new home for it which I'm hyped about. In spite of a few issues of the season 3 finale *cough cough * Laura being shadow's other half and some of season 2 was kinda filler. I enjoy the series. Read the book recently too. Not bad. Some stuff the show did better expansion. Overall would recommend.

I haven't finished three series and it may take a while. I have read the book several times and so unfortunately this is a comparison, which may be unfair. If you loved the book and just have to see the series, this may be a good review to read. I don't think I could have seen shadow as black. I think it is because of his aliases. It's not a big deal though. The series comes off as a constant acid trip or visual effects show. Gratuitous sex scenes that add nothing to the story nor in the book. Shadow character seemed so angry compared to the gloomy guy in the book and he is more nihilistic than the book. In the book he almost never asks why he needs to do something. It is so prominent a characteristic that Wednesday comments on it. My wife has never read the book and said she would also have given it 2 stars based on what she saw

This is beautifully surreal show that every single episode has make me laugh a load, tear up, and think about social issues and the way we view the world. Ricky Whittle, as Shadow Moon, gives a strong performance which is able to carry quiet scenes well, and Idris Elba is perfect as Wednesday giving off a balance of despicable charm perfect for the character. It is a strong show on it's own, however builds upon many characters from the book in interesting ways. I highly recommend taking a look, and is currently my new favorite show.
