About this show

Steven Universe is about the misadventures of a boy named Steven, the ultimate "little brother" to a team of magical guardians of humanity—the Crystal Gems. Steven may not be as powerful as the Crystal Gems. Or as savvy. But that doesn't stop him from joining Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl on their magical adventures and somehow finding a way to save the day!

I realy cant get behind this show. Its really popular and has gained A notable cult following. Yet I dont like it, The main charcter to me is annoying and anything that could be construed as funny or likeable has the opposite effect to me. For instance when he sings "Cookie cat", why do all the other charcters start laughing? That wasnt funny! It is a little worrying that hes that obsessed with a cheap snack food if anything. It isn't helped by the fact he sounds really annoying! Why did they think it was a good idea to the voice actor shout at the top of his lungs? I also don't like the fact that the visual style looks like nail polish, it is too much for my eyes to handle. and I strongly dislike the music in it too, and all round its just plain annoying and babyish (i know its for kids and some kid's stuff like "Adventure time" or "Gravity Falls' for instance is really cool and funny, but this is not too my taste, i tried though!

Incredible. The show has incredible and diverse feminine representation and characters with actual depth, flaws, struggles, character and feeling. It's has themes that show that nobody is perfect, and that's okay. It also has very strong themes of embracing the positive sides of yourself, and actively working to improve when need be. Perhaps above all though, it's had consistent themes showing that there is no-one who is too far gone to be redeemed, and no-one is undeserving of love & friendship

I love this show. I have grown to love Steven and his childish whims. I enjoy the music with some hilarious songs such as "Giant Woman" and other songs pulling you into an emotional ride with the story and lyrics. A lot of people don't get Steven, which makes me sad. His perky charm makes me laugh and awakens the child within me. It's a cute show with lots of positive messages for children and the story is quite rich and really cool. I love it.
