1 Home Sweet Home?
1/7/17
Follow six families in different states across the country as they bring new puppies into their homes. Before these new pup parents can embark on this unforgettable journey, they must first choose the perfect dog for their needs and lifestyle. For some, it's a well-researched decision. For others, it's love at first sight.
2 Potty Emergency
1/14/17
After adjusting to having the new puppies in their households, the families now have to deal with potty training their pooches. For those who have done their homework, it's an easy task. For others, it's a messy struggle with a lot of clean up. For all the families and puppies, it's a steep learning curve.
3 Puppies Behaving Badly
1/21/17
The puppies are now 10 weeks old and are settling into their new homes. They are growing up fast, developing stubborn streaks, refusing to do their business outside and becoming more mischievous. Things turn for the worse for one family as their three-year-old son becomes scared to be around his pup, while another puppy faces the threat of a deadly disease.
4 Training Wrecks
1/28/17
The puppies are almost 14-weeks-old and the “golden” period of puppy training will soon be over. The new owners use this time to teach their dogs adult behaviors, but they realize they need training just as much as the pups. The Georgia family struggles to teach their rescue puppy Lucky to walk on a leash while the Colorado family is worried about her fast-growing Great Dane pup.
5 Growing Pains
2/4/17
The puppies are almost four months old, and the families are working on training the dogs before they develop bad habits that they will carry into adulthood. In Georgia, rescue mutt Lucky needs to prove he can behave himself before gaining access to an exclusive dog park. Meanwhile in Texas, toy poodle puppy Mr. Jack gears up for a summer of new experiences and activities.
6 All in the Family
2/11/17
The six puppies have had two months to settle into their new homes, and we see how the dogs and their families have developed, adjusted and learned to live together. As their worlds expand, they need to learn to cope with new experiences – from sleeping under canvas tents, to trips to the beach, to being professionally groomed and meeting new groups of people.
