About this show

Created by Academy-Award winner Julian Fellowes, Downton Abbey has quickly become the most-watched program in PBS’ history. Led by Hugh Bonneville, Maggie Smith, Elizabeth McGovern and many others, the all-star cast brings to life the trials and tribulations of the Crawley family and their servants in the English countryside. Spanning the years of pre-war England through the storms of World War I and into the social upheaval of England in the 1920s, viewers are captivated by the grand estate whose inhabitants are shaped by romance, heartbreak, scandals, and betrayal.

I Love It. I've been a huge fan from the very beginning, and I AM SO VERY SORRY THAT IT'S COME TO AN END. At least there are no more new seasons coming up anymore. HOWEVER, WE'LL ALWAYS HAVE OUR DOWNLOADS AND OUR DVD & BLU-RAY COLLECTIONS & SUCH. So, while we'll have no more New Episodes; unless they are kind and loyal enough to their fans that they do a REUNION OR REVISITING OF THE DOWNTON ABBEY FAMILY & THE LIVES OF THE MEN & WOMEN WHO GAVE THE CASTLE IT'S LIFE. IF THEY DO, I 4 ONE WILL BE TUNNING

A great show. I have enjoyed each season and trying to wait patiently for season 5. I became hooked on this show from my daughter and enjoy watching it with her. We have laughed and cried, stating things like, "I can't believe this just happened." So much like real life. Forget American reality shows, they need to take lessons from the Brits. Love them.
