I think this is one of my favorite shows. I'm so sorry I missed watching this when it was being made, although what a joy to discover it later. I can see how the setup of the first episode turned people off - for me, not so much - I enjoy a good antihero and some crazy plans coming together, but what followed was such a wonderful surprise and genuine exploration and development. I love all of these characters, even when I'm mad as hell at them. I don't mind suspending my disbelief that these character manage to have their minds on so many cutting-edge ideas right as they are getting developed elsewhere - the ability for the show to tell me the story of living through this break-neck industry development as mere mortals is worth it. Enjoy.

The Series wrapped beautifully, and, in my humble opinion is one of the better season finales I have ever watched. I was a HACF truther from the very first episode, it had me wrapped around it's finger from the first scene to the last with Joe MacMillan. I encourage anyone who is looking for some awesome story telling to watch this series and enjoy it's minor issues (having the same group of four be so instrumental in the different evolution's of the PC is a bit Hollywood), focus on the Character development and the fantastic acting. Oh, and by the way one of the best intro songs/sequences EVER.

The show manages to take topics that would otherwise bore all but a few viewers and make them into delicate personal narratives that draw you in fully to the world of tech. The acting is superb. The characters can be a little one-sided within a single season, but have beautiful flaws and compelling personal development across the seasons. The romantic sub-plots are sometimes a bit heavy-handed, but still better than many. The final season is experimenting even more and despite not always hitting the mark perfectly, the experiments are all very enjoyable.
