Battlestar Galactica (Classic)

Lasers flash, the heavens explode and a space fleet undertakes an epic voyage in a blockbuster episode of Battlestar Galactica. Starring in this space spectacular are Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict and Lorne Greene as Adama. In the opening episode a 12-colony space mission is sabotaged and the home planets are destroyed. The final remnants of human life reunite under the leadership of the giant warship Galactica, the only battlestar spaceship to survive the devastating ambush of the colonial fleet. Forming a cumbersome caravan of 220 space vehicles, the interplanetary refugees join together in search of a new and peaceful frontier where mankind may safely flourish and grow. Their hope and home of the future: the distant and unknown 13th colony, Earth. Greene stars as the battlestar's commander, Adama, the last member of the shattered colonial government and acknowledged leader of the immigrant fleet. Carrying out the command decisions of their leader are Richard Hatch starring as Capt. Apollo, Adama's son and the leader of the Galactica's fighter squadron; and Dirk Benedict starring as Lt. Starbuck, the battlestar's ace fighter pilot, con artist and Romeo; Herb Jefferson, Jr. as Lt. Boomer; Maren Jensen as Athena; Noah Hathaway as Boxey; Tony Swartz as Lt. Jolly and Terry Carter as Col. Tigh also star.

Captain Apollo (Richard Hatch) and Lt. Boomer (Herb Jefferson, Jr.) discover that many of the fleet's provisions were contaminated during the battle with the Cylons and that there is a possibility of mass starvation. Boarding a passenger liner, they enter into their first confrontation with Sire Uri (Ray Milland) who is living in luxury with a few friends. Seeking fuel and supplies on the distant planet Carillon, Apollo, Boomer and Lt. Starbuck (Dirk Benedict) attempt to lead the fleet through a dangerous mine field. The voyage is made even more hazardous when the three lose visibility in their fighter craft due to the intense radiation.

Adama (Lorne Greene) becomes alarmed when he learns that Sire Uri (Ray Milland) has authorized half the fleet's population permission to visit the planet Carillon. Concerned about the overly optimistic attitude of most members of the fleet and about the vulnerability to a Cylons attack, Adama is forced to resort to a desperate ruse. Finding their way into the deepest of Carillon's mines, Apollo (Richard Hatch) and Starbuck (Dirk Benedict) learn about the unpleasant fate which many of the recently missing fleet members have suffered. They also discover the strong ties between the inhabitants of Carillon and the Cylons.

While scouting a hidden Cylon outpost on a lonely asteroid, Jolly and Boomer contract a mysterious disease. Unaware that the Cylons have spotted them, they return to their ship and in so doing, lead the Cylons right to the Galactica's location. Realizing that they must change course to escape, Adama asks the advice of Apollo and Starbuck, who have just returned from a scouting mission. He learns that not far ahead is an endless magnetic sea that scrambles all navigational signals. Meanwhile, most of the Galactica's pilots have been quarantined because of the mysterious virus, and doctors aboard the ship insist that the only way to find a cure is to return to the infected asteroid. A squadron of Viper pilots is then sent out on the dangerous mission, but Apollo is worried for several reasons. First of all, the team consists of female volunteers who are flying for the first time; and one of them is Serina, whom he intends to marry.

Having returned safely from their scouting mission, the Galactica's new squadron of female warriors returns to the ship to continue the perilous flight through the magnetic void. Apollo, Starbuck, and Serina lead the way in their Vipers, but Starbuck loses radio contact and disappears. Upon returning to the spaceship, Serina and Apollo decide to marry right away, since they fear this journey might be their last. Suddenly, a mysterious pulsating star appears which leads the Galactica to a strange planet. Commander Adama organizes an exploratory mission, accompanied by Apollo and his bride. As they land on the planet, they realize they have rediscovered Kobol, the lost planet of the gods, where human life began. Adama soon discovers the tomb of the lord of Kobol, and they explore the inner chambers. To their surprise, Baltar, the leader of the Cylons, is waiting for them, with a plan to lead them into the hands of the Cylons. Meanwhile, Starbuck returns to the Galactica, after having been captured and released by the Cylons. He mobilizes the fighter squadrons, who arrive at the planet Kobol just in time to rescue the humans from a major Cylon attack.

Apollo encounters fuel problems and is forced to land on a Western-flavored planet where cowboys, called oviners, ride polka dot horses and live in fear of a hired-gun Cylon named Red-Eye. Through a beautiful young widow and her son, Apollo quickly becomes caught up in the space age pioneers' desperate fight against a greedy land baron. As tempers flare in the intergalactic range war, Apollo and his laser gun are put to the test in a searing showdown with the malevolent Red-Eye.

Lt. Starbuck's astronautical prowess meets its match in Starchaser and CORA, the Galactica's new ultrafast spaceship and her talking computer. When Starbuck loses his ship to a wily escaped convict, the young pilot suddenly finds himself on a mysterious planet whose inhabitants have been imprisoned. Determined to recapture his ship and return to the fleet, Starbuck incites a convict revolt for freedom.

The Galactica and her immigrant space fleet are pushed to the brink of destruction by the evil warriors of the Alliance. Unable to confront pursuing adversaries and threatened by a giant, mountain-based laser on the frozen surface of the planet Arcta, Capt. Apollo must lead a dangerous band of prisoners into icy mountain warfare for a desperate search-and-destroy mission.

Apollo, Starbuck, Boomer and their hand-picked polar demolition team are joined by a society of clones in their desperate attempt to save the Galactica from destruction by a giant Cylon laser weapon on the planet Arcta. In "The Gun on Ice Planet Zero"-Part II, a searing Cylon cannon lodged ominously in a mountain of ice threatens to destroy Battlestar Galactica and her immigrant fleet. Leading a highly specialized team of space fleet prisoners, Apollo, Starbuck and Boomer launch a secret attack on a robot-infested fortress. The planet's enslaved clone society unites with the fighting men of the Galactica in their desperate mission to destroy the weapon and the Cylon oppressors.

When a food crisis strikes, Commander Adama decides to trade machinery for seed with colonists on a nearby planet. Unfortunately, the only exchangeable equipment belongs to the Commander's childhood sweetheart. Determined to rekindle an old flame, the woman trades her machinery for Adama's affections. After launching a trading party to Serenity, a rural human colony terrorized by a band of boar-like brutes, Adama and his men soon fall prey to the crafty farmers. By stealing the Galactica's barter and conning Starbuck into the short-lived occupation of sheriff, the Serenity citizens deviously enlist the battlestar warriors in their fight against the animal-like marauders.

Starbuck is rescued from the armor-clad Cylon warriors of Trillion by the children of an imprisoned jungle fighter. Although the children like Starbuck and want to help him, their determination to free their father from his robot captors leads them to betray Starbuck. The children are later betrayed by the devious Cylon garrison commander, Spectre, and all hopes appear to be lost.

A dangerous deep space probe leads Apollo and Starbuck to an incredible encounter with the battlestar Pegasus, her 220-spaceship fleet, and Commander Cain, the greatest military commander in the history of the Colonial government. Excitement runs high as the two intergalactic fleets merge in celebration. When Cylon forces discover the two fleets, Commander Cain wants to meet them in battle rather than try to outrun them, which leads to a power struggle between Adama and Cain.

Adama must combine his military expertise with the daredevil heroics of battlestar Commander Cain in a death struggle with the maniacal Alliance armies. While a specialized team of paratroopers secures the fuel depot at Cylon headquarters on the planet Gomoray, the star ship Pegasus streaks off into certain destruction. Luring the batwinged robot battalions away from the Galactica and her vigil over the fleet's defenseless tankers, the Pegasus and her hot-blooded Commander head right into an explosive laser confrontation with Cylon base ships.

The Battlestar Galactica's immigrant fleet struggles to survive when it is surprised by a deadly Cylon "suicide" mission. Commander Adama fights for his life while Lt. Boomer races against time to save Athena and Boxey from a fiery death. As rescue teams work their way to the trapped victims of the attack who are threatened by the fire, Muffit, the mechanical canine daggit, heroically risks himself to save his young master.

Apollo leads a desperate search-and-rescue mission for a squadron of missing pilots. Landing on the battle-scarred surface of a distant planet, Apollo and his warriors are confronted by Count Iblis, the lone survivor of an alien culture. When Iblis convinces the intergalactic fighters to escort him back to their battlestar, the entire fleet becomes entranced with the eerie stranger, his omnipotent powers and his desire to lead them to Earth. Skeptical of the new messiah's intentions, Commander Adama accepts Iblis' offer to prove himself by granting the fleet any three wishes.

The alien, Count Iblis, promises to grant the Galactica leaders three wishes in exchange for command of the fleet. To test the powers of the would-be messiah, the battlestar commanders demand the capture of their archenemy, Count Baltar, and the safe journey of the fleet to Earth. However, before stating the final demand, Adama and the Council of Twelve discover the true identity of their mysterious visitor and launch a life-and-death struggle against the malevolent Iblis, the Prince of Darkness.

An aging con man named Chameleon finds himself threatened by black market henchmen determined to avenge his double-crossing games. Seeking sanctuary aboard the Galactica, Chameleon captures the protective attention of Starbuck with a spiel about their possible father-son relationship. As his wily scheme progresses, however, the old man finds himself troubled by the ever-deepening affection between himself and his surrogate son.

Tension runs high in a "triad" game between Starbuck and his arch rival, Ortega. Ortega, known for his unsportsmanlike conduct, delivers one low blow too many to Starbuck and the contest erupts into a brawl. Both players are expelled from the game. A short time later, when the unpopular Ortega is found slain, Starbuck is arrested. Apollo, confident of his friend's innocence, searches for the true culprit and places his life on the line when the frightened Starbuck decides to escape and discovers that Ortega blackmailed passengers who bought their way aboard the Galactica.

The possibility of earthling passengers aboard a captured alien spacecraft spreads excitement throughout the Battlestar Galactica. While the humans, a family of six, lie in a frozen state aboard the captured ship, the battlestar's scientists struggle to understand the aliens' baffling cryogenic equipment. When one of the captives regains consciousness and it becomes evident that the Galactica atmosphere is incompatible and eventually fatal to the aliens, Commander Adama realizes that he must return them to the original orbit. Aware that the Council of Twelve leaders and the entire population of the fleet are becoming riotous in their demand for information of the mysterious passengers, Adama commissions Apollo, Starbuck and Cassiopea to accompany the travelers to their final destination, the planet of Paradeen.

Having intercepted a spaceship containing a family of six lunar-based earthlings, commander Adama becomes aware that the Galactica atmosphere would eventually be fatal to them, and he decides to return them to their original orbit. Apollo, Starbuck and Cassiopea accompany the space travelers to their destination, the planet of Paradeen. Upon landing, the intergalactic assemblage is met by two comical androids, caretakers for the family's new home. While the Galactica officers help the new inhabitants adjust to their surroundings, the threesome explore the planet and question their new found friends in the hope of getting one step closer to Earth. Having trouble adjusting to the relatively thin atmosphere of Paradeen, Starbuck's life is endangered when he becomes lost exploring an underground city. To make matters worse, the Eastern Alliance -- the gestapo-like enemies of the earthlings -- have tracked the group to Paradeen and plan to kill or capture them.

When Baltar leads a deadly prison revolt aboard the Galactica, taking many hostages, including Adama and other council members, Apollo and Starbuck find themselves racing against time to rescue the hostages before Baltar and his cohorts destroy them. In "Baltar's Escape," Adama is forced to relinquish his Starfleet leadership to the Council of Twelve and abide by their decision to release dangerous Alliance Enforcers captured on the planet Paradeen. When the council dispatches an unarmed peace envoy to accompany the paroled warriors to their Luna Seven base, the infamous traitor, Baltar, incites a violent prison break. To save the fleet and sabotage the cell block revolt, Adama surrenders himself to Baltar. Hoping to rescue the commander from his bloodthirsty adversary, Apollo and Starbuck secretly assume the identity of Alliance robots for their own surprise Cylon attack.

Apollo is captured by a mysterious stranger and enlisted in his angelic mission of mercy to rescue an earth-like planet from annihilation. Accompanied by his celestial guardian, a reluctant and confused Apollo assumes the identity of a soldier from Terra and attempts to warn the mortals of their impending doom. Although Apollo desperately pleads with the leaders of Terra to strive for peace, the young warrior cannot prevent the start of a nuclear holocaust.

Starbuck is unexpectedly reunited with Aurora, his long-lost love, during a Colonial government tribute for Kronus, a hard-nosed veteran of the emigrant space fleet. Aurora rejects her old suitor's renewed advances and, following the ceremonies aboard the starship Galactica, returns with Kronus to his battlestar, the Celestra. Starbuck and Apollo pursue Aurora as she returns to her home base, where a mutiny by freedom fighters and a power-hungry junior officer threaten the ship's command and endanger their lives.

An alien destroyer threatens the Galactica and her interplanetary quest for Earth. While the fighting men and women of the immigrant space fleet secure battle stations in the face of an impending battle, Apollo and Starbuck are determined to give the underdog Galactica a fighting chance by infiltrating the enemy base star in a smaller captured enemy warship.
