Alice

In her memoirs, a famous actress (DEBBIE REYNOLDS) writes that one of the best kisses she ever got was from someone named Mel back in her old neighborhood. Mel (VIC TAYBACK) thinks he's the one because he grew up in the same area.

Mel (VIC TAYBACK) bribes Jolene (CELIA WESTON) to pretend to be his girlfriend when he receives a surprise visit from an old school chum, and things get out of hand.

When Mel (VIC TAYBACK) and the girls suspect the diner may be the location of a buried treasure, they tear the place apart searching for the money.

Mel (VIC TAYBACK) wins at the track and is persuaded to invest his winnings in a musical in which Alice (LINDA LAVIN) is starring.
