Where to start... I could not love The Vampire Diaries any more if I tried. The stories, the actors, their characters, the plot twists, the way you can hate a character one season and then fall deeply in love with them in the next. The way they explored the vulnerable sides of the most evil of characters was truly nothing short of stunning. I have never enjoyed a series as much as I enjoyed TVD and I wish they had written more seasons, but then again, perhaps that's the whole point... we all want to go out with a bang with people loving us still - that's what these guys did so beautifully - they left us wanting more, in fact, I was as on the edge of my seat throughout season 8 exactly as I was throughout season 1, and that is very hard for a television series to pull off for 8 years. TVD kept me gripped, kept me overwhelmed and kept me in love, and that is something I've never been able to find again.

Honestly, there is no better series than Vampire diaries. I have watched all 6 seasons about 3-4 times and it does not bore me. I was never one for series but when I watched Vampire diaries for the first time, I was hooked. The fact that Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev plays in it makes it even more awesome. He is too HOT! For me they make the perfect couple(not Paul Wesley and her). Caroline Forbes and Stefan Salvatore are my second best couple but then there's Klaus, another Hottie! Do not speak about his elder brother Elija, OH MY WORD! He is the hottest of the lot. There are so many things that could be said about these vampires. The saddest episode is where goodbye has to be said to Elena in season 6. No words could describe how I felt. All i could think of was how Damon was feeling(sounds crazy, right?). He does have a heart though. Vampire diaries is just the best. I refuse to watch any other series.

When the show first started in was skeptical, I hadn't read the books and I thought it would end up being like twilight. However, I was overwhelmingly surprised by how good it was. I am sad that this is the last series, but it has been a fantastic ride. I have greatly enjoyed the emotional highs and lows that go hand in hand with following the exploits of Mystic Falls.
