Nearby, on the outskirts of Atlanta, a small encampment struggles to survive as 'the dead' stalk them at every turn. Can Rick and the others hold onto their humanity as they fight to live in this terrifying new world? And, amidst dire conditions and personal rivalries, will they ultimately survive one another? The Walking Dead is a truly great series. It stops being about zombies very quickly and becomes an exploration of all aspects of humanity, and how people come to terms with and survive in an apocalyptic new world. In my opinion it is drama, suspense and exploration of characters at it's finest. It is a credit to all the people involved in the creation and making of this series - it is genius.

Not a major review, just to point out that people say it's slow because they're developing the characters. A mindless zombie killfest wouldnt have lasted to 6 seasons. Besides, having a connection to the characters actually makes it mean something when they die.
