1 Speak Up

Season-only
Speak Up, an original documentary from Cartoon Network, captures the authentic, everyday stories of America's bullied kids and the youth who have helped them. The half-hour film is an extension of the network's nationally recognized and award-winning pro-social initiative Stop Bullying: Speak Up, which seeks to empower all kids to take part in the growing movement to help bring an end to bullying. This moving, thoughtful and hopeful program consists of candid interviews with kids, mostly between the ages of 8 and 13 years old, who either are or have been the target of bullies, bystanders in a bullying situation or even bullies themselves. Demonstrating remarkable courage to speak openly and honestly about their own experiences, these brave youngsters offer empathy, strength and reassurance for all victims of bullying, as well as to bystanders, with a clear message that speaking up is the best way to bring about an end to bullying.

I can bully anyone I want to. And anyone can bully me. Its called survival of the fittest. I mean it. If someone gets bullied than they should take a stand. But the bully can do whatever he wants(within law). Anyways, bullying is jus another way to express your inner emotions towards that fat kid down the street that gets beat up regularly by my friend because the fat kid called him some names. Survival at its almost best.

This and other things get away from what cartoon network is meant to be. The fact is it is cartoon network. There are other turner networks that this could have played on. And now its here on the play store. My emails and messages to cartoon network regarding the deterioration of the quality of shows they decide to broadcast have been ignored. One star to a poor money hungry conglomerate. Also its up to the adults to teach our young about bullying not some tv program. Get off yourbass and teach your chil

The problem with telling people to stop doing something, especially children, is that they want to push the envelope. The emphasis is on the wrong thing. We need to not vilify so-called "bullies" and focus instead on the mental illnesses that effect our population. Not all children or adults who are bullied try to commit suicide; just the ones who suffer from Depression-related illnesses. No amount of peer pressure can *make* someone kill themself. Nobody can force you to feel a certain way.
