Season 6 episodes (10)

1 Gerry Does It Again
10/18/16
Season-only
After waking up married and quite hung-over, Gerry and Lisa do their best to face the workday. They quickly realize, however, that this ‘accidental marriage’ thing is getting in the way and they set off to get an annulment as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Nisha accepts an invitation to have dinner with Simon and his mother in the hopes of mending fences. But when Angela’s date shows up, bearing an uncanny resemblance to Simon, it becomes clear that Angela’s acceptance of Nisha doesn’t come without strings.
Ms. Terdie feels redundant when she learns that Robert has ordered e-readers for the students.
2 Gerry Wants to Stay Married
10/25/16
Season-only
As Gerry begins the process of moving in to Lisa’s apartment, Lisa finds herself deeply regretting her decision to give the marriage a shot. Meanwhile, in an effort to get in shape and lower his stress levels, Robert gets himself a treadmill desk. Trudy explains that Robert’s new attire combined with the full-body sweat and disturbing ‘workout’ noises emanating from his office are unprofessional and disruptive, but her words land on deaf ears. Bobbi takes great pride in learning that she has inspired a former student to become a singer/songwriter, but she soon realizes her pride might be misplaced.
3 Gerry Gets a Kid
11/1/16
Season-only
Gerry sees dollar signs when he learns that young Hayden’s father is sick, very rich, and planning to leave something to Hayden’s favourite staff members. Already established as Hayden’s Number One teacher, Gerry awaits his monetary gift with eager anticipation, only to discover that his ‘gift’ is legal guardianship of Hayden. But Gerry’s initial disappointment is quickly remedied by the financial contribution that accompanies said guardianship. Unfortunately, raising a child turns out to be a tad more expensive than Gerry had anticipated. Meanwhile, Robert becomes co-principal and takes every opportunity to ensure that all staff and students understand that he is no longer Lisa’s subordinate. Nisha jumps in on some innocent student games during recess, only to injure herself and ruin everything.
4 Gerry Goes to Prison
11/15/16
Season-only
It’s almost March break and all of the staff members seem to have saved enough money for a vacation, except for Gerry. In a desperate effort to make some fast cash for a trip of his own, he decides to take a side job teaching in a prison. Gerry manages to establish a surprisingly positive rapport with the inmates, only to find himself the accidental drug mule for one of his new students. Meanwhile, Simon has been teaching an ESL class and becomes convinced one of his students has a much better grasp of the English language than he’s been letting on. Nisha has been tutoring students at their homes, but finds the work environments difficult to navigate.
5 A Star is Born
11/22/16
Season-only
After one of Gerry’s students skips a detention for a theatre rehearsal, Gerry confronts the student mid-rehearsal and unleashes a barrage of vitriol that impresses director Emma so much so that she immediately fires the student, offering Gerry the starring role instead. Will this be the birth of a brilliant thespian? In an effort to motivate her lazy students, Bobbi equips them all with heart monitors. At first, her efforts appear to be successful, but Bobbi soon finds herself unintentionally tracking a
different type of student exercise. Nisha’s been having trouble getting her class to respect her authority, but has figured out that she can manipulate them into paying attention by crying in the classroom. Robert cracks down on Nisha’s unconventional
tactic, only to find himself taking a page out of her book.
6 Gerry Throws the Game
11/29/16
Season-only
Gerry volunteers to cover Simon’s girls’ volleyball team, assuring Bobbi that he won’t ruin their playoff run. But when Bill reminds him of their friend’s wedding on Saturday, Gerry’s afraid he’ll miss his shot with Suzie the bridesmaid. He sets out to do the only right thing: throw the first game, thereby freeing up his Saturday. Meanwhile, staff and students are finding they don’t have enough time between classes to get all the way across the school, so Robert devises a plan to get everybody moving through the hallways more quickly. When Trudy learns she has an allergy to soy nuts, Lisa insists she provide a photo for Xavier’s Allergy Wall, in the event of an emergency.
7 The Man with Two Red Shoes
12/6/16
Season-only
Lisa starts a friendly ‘Teacher of the Month’ competition and it’s no surprise when Mr. Dwyer wins the first one. Gerry feels slighted and is determined to find a way to earn next month’s title. When word gets out that a lurker has been spotted in the
neighbourhood, Gerry sets out to catch him. Of course, catching a lurker is no small feat and Gerry must use some rather unconventional tactics if he’s to succeed. Meanwhile, Robert has been working on an art installation made up of photos of Xavier’s staff and students. Bobbi is upset to find she has seemingly been excluded from the project and confronts him about his unresolved feelings for her. At the same time, an unexpected feud develops between Dwyer and Nisha when they discover that they’ve been using the same catchphrase. After all, “Every day’s a holiday” can only belong to one.
8 Gerry has Hot Sub Anxiety
12/13/16
Season-only
Gerry’s blown away when he lays eyes on the new hot substitute teacher, Mary. Conveniently forgetting that he’s technically married, he vows to woo her. But to his shock and horror, Gerry sees a second hot sub, Shane, who appears to be his fiercest
competitor for Mary’s affection. Gerry tasks Simon with keep hot sub Shane away from hot sub Mary, until Gerry can lock that down. Simon assures Gerry that he’s on it, but finds the mission interfering with his five-month anniversary plans with Nisha. Bobbi has been having trouble with foul-mouthed and disruptive Alex. Taking Dwyer’s advice, she sets out to change his attitude through positive reinforcement.
9 Busploitation
12/20/16
Season-only
Gerry walks in on Trudy and Emma watching a viral video of a bus driver being bullied by students. After learning about a crowdfunding effort that raised money for the poor bus driver, he recruits Simon to help him stage a ‘bullying’ incident on the
bus, in which he is to be the sad victim. Meanwhile, Bobbi takes a dozen pregnancy tests and finally accepts that she’s pregnant. When the tests are discovered, she finds herself roped into Robert’s misguided hunt for twelve frightened pregnant young students.. Dwyer has a new lady in his life and seems happier than he’s been in a long time. Nisha couldn’t be more pleased for him, until she discovers that his new love interest bears a striking resemblance to the sketch composite of the suspect in his late wife’s murder case.
10 Gerry Charters a New Course
12/27/16
Season-only
It’s almost the end of the school year, and Gerry seems to be the only teacher at Xavier who hasn’t been offered a full-time contract for next fall. Even after Gerry plays the marriage card, it seems Lisa can’t guarantee him anything beyond fulltime
substitute. Unwilling to accept this fate, Gerry gets an idea to start his own Charter school. Meanwhile, Robert and Bobbi interview applicants to fill Bobbi’s position while she’s away on maternity leave. Her initial concern about finding a qualified candidate is replaced with a deep insecurity that she won’t even be missed when the candidates prove quite overqualified. Lisa pulls out all the stops to throw an end-of-year faculty party. But when her efforts seem to go unappreciated, Lisa makes a bold move.

About this show

He's the world's best teacher...just ask him. Based on Gerry Dee's real-life experiences as a high school teacher before he switched to comedy full-time, Mr. D is the story of a charming, under-qualified teacher trying to fake his way through a teaching job, just like he often fakes his way through life.
