21 Ranger Tom And The Carrots Of Doom
11/16/14
Season-only
The Tree Fu Rangers are on Ariela’s Ranch today, trying to win their ‘Green Fingers’ Badge. Much to the apprehension of his friends, Tom plants some carrot seeds he’s brought from the big world and they grow huge! Try as they might, they can’t pull them up. Unknown to his friends, Zigzoo rushes off to create an invention to help and starts pulling the carrots down from underground with his new Harvesting Hands invention (a wearable frame with two Helping Hands controlled by joysticks). This sparks fear in the Treelings who thinks the carrots are alive and out to get them. Their fear is fuelled as Zigzoo causes a cave in which creates a sinkhole above that Ariela falls into. Though Tom saves her with Big World Magic, Zigzoo then decides to blast the carrots upwards instead and this only adds to Tom’s problems as he tries to reassure his panicked friends that there must be a rational explanation. As the giant carrots rain down, the Treelings fear drives them into a dangerous part of the caverns where they encounter Zigzoo in his wearable invention covered in debris and broken carrot from the cave-in. In their panic to escape this ‘carrot monster’ they unleash a torrent of sap from a blocked cave and only Tom’s Big World Magic can save them. As the flood subsides the Treelings see that the carrot monster is actually Zigzoo and understand what has happened; the carrots are just harmless vegetables after all and actually tasty too. Tom wins his Green Fingers Badge and heads home.
22 Picture This
12/20/14
Season-only
Tom and Twigs feel that they’re ready for bigger things and are excited when Treetog decides to teach them a new tricky spell that can be used to control the magic of an enchanted scroll that brings into being whatever is drawn on its pages. Tom and Twigs feel underwhelmed by the lesson which involves picking up loads of scattered slimeweed seeds in a particular way and decide that they’re ready to use the scroll without the controlling spell. They draw a new vehicle to collect the seeds but soon realise that they’re not as clever as they think; first missing off something to collect the seeds in, then getting sucked into the collection hopper (only getting out with Big World Magic help) then falling into a trap set by the Mushas who are desperate to plant the seeds and grow slimeweeds all over the castle! Adding and using more and more features to the machine before they’re ready or know how to control them leads to further trouble as the machine is given wings and Twigs is left hurtling towards the pond on a collision course. Big World Magic turns the pond to jelly for a safe but messy landing and Tom and Twigs realise that they must complete the task Treetog set to clear up their mess. They find that the specific seed collection movements are the moves of the tricky spell and find that before they know it, they’ve mastered it and can send their chaotic invention back into the scroll.

About this show

A magical 3D CGI adventure series for 3-5 year olds, Tree Fu Tom follows the adventures of Tom, his best friend Twigs (voiced by David Tennant) and a cast of playmates in the miniature fantasy world, Treetopolis. When adventure turns to crisis, Tom turns to the audience for their help. Speaking directly to the audience, Tom asks them to follow him in a series of Tree Fu Moves, designed by physio- and occupational therapists to aid the development of movement skills, strength and balance, as well as helping to deal with dyspraxia, a movement impairment condition affecting one in ten children. Together, the audience and Tom create 'Big World Magic' - Tom's superhero power - to resolve the crisis and save the day. Tree Fu Go!

Note: Seasons split into 2 volumes are priced accordingly.

When it comes to Fremantlemedia, they can make/distribute great shows such as America's Got Talent, The Aquabats Super Show, Max Steel, Monsuno, Grojband, and many more! This is one of them. Tree Fu Tom is also one of those shows that I think should be made for an older audience. Seriously, it's that good!
