About this show

Princess Elena's journey began long ago when her parents and kingdom were taken from her by the evil sorceress, Shuriki. Elena bravely faced the sorceress to protect her little sister, Princess Isabel, and her grandparents. In the process, her magical amulet pulled her inside its enchanted jewel, saving her life but imprisoning her at the same time. While Elena is the rightful heir to the throne, she is only 16, and must learn to rule Avalor with the help of a Grand Council comprised of her Grandfather Tito, Grandmother Cici and Royal Advisor, Duke Esteban. With some magical friends by her side – Mateo, a wizard-in-training, and Skylar, a magical flying Jaquin – Princess Elena's adventures will help her understand that her new role requires thoughtfulness, resilience and compassion, the traits of all truly great leaders.

My kids love Elena. I love it too. Continuing story, great stories each episode, catchy music. Teaches children about cause and effect and taking responsibility for your actions. Also teaches them to be kind and forgiving. I think it's a little too expensive though.

The shows both involve a princess, who lives in a peaceful kingdom. Then their kingdom is under attack by an evil sorceror. But then they return in the future, and with the help of friends, they defeat the sorceror. And the way they defeat the sorceror involves the use of a wand. And with a scepter from their kingdom, they continue to fight evil.

i really like the whole character and her process in life . how she must overcome her mistakes or respect those she rules oveer or that rule with her. only only dilema is WHY DOES IT TAKE SOOOOOOOO LONG FOR THE NEXT TO COME OUT
