Amazing. Worth a watch for so many reasons. Moving, powerful, devastating. Extremely relevant to this day, perhaps especially all over The West. Our government has become so incredibly corrupt, a fact which we have suspected for years but has now been solidified with the totally disgusting show-election of 2020 as well as the obviously hoaxed ongoing Covid-19 situation. We have carried on the tradition of Soviet lies all through Europe and America, though more than likely this corruption has been an ongoing thing since before Kennedy was assassinated. This entertaining piece of excellent cinema should terrify every viewer, as it shows what governments are capable of doing AGAINST their own people. Our elites care not for our safety and wellbeing and will lie, lie, LIE with total impunity to stay in power and achieve their selfish gains. Over the past century we've watched many world leaders take the fall for more powerful men behind the curtain. The 45th president of the USA is only the most recent. History is written by the winners and not the righteous. It would do the lowly peasants of the world (me certainly being one of them) well to take this uncomfortable fact of history to heart. Chernobyl is only one of countless travesties committed to history. If there's still enough civilization left in the coming years imagine the cinema they could create about the endless corruption of this current era. Maybe then those of us who suffered and will continue to suffer more as time goes by will finally enjoy some justice as those who stood up for the greater good in Chernobyl did against a seemingly all-powerful and all-evil government are finally enjoying now.

fantastic series. no words can describe the level of human error and lies that allowed this disaster to take place. The death toll of thousands maybe millions could have easily been prevented. To everyone that made this film fantastic, you did a great job telling this story with respect, dignity, and truth to the character you were portraying, a must see by everyone. and i mean everyone, this should be included in schools for education.

Truly astonishing and brilliantly done! Very poignant for the times we currently are living in, if you are in America. I highly recommend viewing this stunning series, which captured one of the greatest man-made tragedies of the latter 20th century! As well as the dangers beget by the inner workings of a flawed political system in The USSR!
