From Straight A's to XXX is inspired by the true story of Miriam Weeks, a college freshman at Duke University who chose to become a porn star under the pseudonym of Belle Knox to pay her sizable tuition expenses without taking loans. When a male student "outs" her at Duke, Miriam/Belle is sent down a road of slut shaming, death threats, cyberbullying, and national media attention.
