Simon's Cat

Charming as always, and well worth supporting the artist. This first full-color rendition of "Simon's Cat" addresses the all-too-familiar trials and tribulations of getting your cat to the vet. A simple yet charming musical score backs the entire effort. Simon's Cat has always been a favorite of mine, the black-and-white shorts paced appropriately for their short subject matter. If there is any criticism I have of "Off to the Vet", it is that it feels more like a series of these shorts strung together, even though there is a cohesive story-line. This is likely due to the static staging of each scene, rather than having changes in framing within each scene, something I would like to see in future endeavors. That said, it still gets five stars from me, and I hope to see more full-color episodes of Simon's Cat in the future.
