About this show

Growing up isn't so tough — especially with a friend like Caillou (pronounced KY-YOO), a lovable four-year-old who has a unique way of relating to the world. Based on a series of best-selling Canadian children's books, Caillou demonstrates how the first experiences of life, from going to the park to understanding one's own family, can be perceived with wonder and a sense of discovery. With humor, kid logic, and imagination, Caillou helps preschoolers make sense of the world. The stories address real problems and conflicts typical to a young child's development. Through it all, Caillou remains an irresistible little boy in a very big world, a boy with whom every young child and parent can identify.

And I'm 23 years old, when I was 12 I was hit by a car, when I woke up from my coma, there wasn't much to do so I mainly watched tv. The hospital only got local channels, and one of the shows that I watched WAS Caillou, for a month. I don't have kids, but I just think its sad that some "parents" stick their child in front of a tv, and blame the show, because the child focused on the bad. Kids are not perfect, nobody is, and Caillou shows that. Television shows should not make life out to be a fairy tale, or else we get bad parenting.

From my 13 yr old nephew, to my toddler son, all the kids in my family loved Caillou. It wasnt until my son that I noticed they do mimic Caillou's behavior. The kid questions his parents, is very demanding, and if your kid watches this show unfortunately for you the child will be stuck in the "me me me" stage a lot longer than need be. We are ending it now. I dont care if he screams for it- I cant take it anymore. He'll live. The tv does not raise my son I do. To hell with it.

Calliou does cry a lot and gets in trouble but the show teaches u that u can discipline ur child without hitting them and show u how to do it calliou don't get away with what he does the situation is just handled different.I watch this show with my 2, 6, 8 years old grandkids and I have no problem out of them at all because after the show is over we talk about the show so if ur child is acting up don"t blame it on the t.v.show u just need to talk to ur child or grandchildren after the show is over.
