When an actress is stabbed on stage and the director’s daughter is attacked, the team investigate but Chloe oversteps the mark. Helena also knows the family involved so Jasper reaches out to her for help. The Dean and Zelda grow closer.

Adelaide’s painting is vandalized and the gallery owner killed but Jasper is distracted by learning of the DNA test on him and Wilfred. As the results are revealed, Wilfred realizes what matters most and races to find Zelda.

6 The Warrior Gene

In the lead-up to Zelda’s wedding, Jasper is wrestling with his feelings for Helena and Dan becomes obsessed by a dying man’s final words. Zelda has doubts about the wedding. Ms. Snares takes Jasper to Collins’ lecture on the warrior gene.

I have enjoyed the various versions of Professor T, first the original Belgian one, then the German offshoot, and then this, but for the British version, I at first disliked it. I found the characters harsh and off-putting, and at least initially, the British Professor T had little of the idiosyncratic charm of the mainland European versions. I later retried it and found that I did like it, although it is not quite as fun and weird as the prior versions, it was still enjoyable.

Just watched premiere episode. So glad PBS Masterpiece doing this show in English.Great cast and I especially like the man playing Professor T as I liked him in Death in Paradise. I am a true anglophile.
