Interns

As a result of emergency health measures, the doctors of an internal medicine unit are confined to home for 48 hours. Alyson Levêque, Hugo Wagner and Chloé Antovska, three young, inexperienced interns, and Arben Bascha, a pathologist, who do not know each other yet, have to work together unsupervised to manage the unit and the patients.

Quarantine is extended. The medical personnel demand reinforcements. Alyson fears that, in the absence of senior staff, her internship will not be validated. Patient numbers increase and things become frantic. Professor Muriel Wagner, head of the ICU, questions her son Hugo about a fragile young patient, Marion, whose case he was handling.

Professor Wagner transfers four of her ICU patients to the recently vacated sector 1 of Internal Medicine. This infuriates Chloé and Bascha who had struggled to reduce patient numbers. Hugo applies for the position of bursar at the hall of residence. Alyson has doubts and thinks about changing hospitals.

Dr Simoni, still in quarantine, blames Chloé for accepting Wagner's patients. Chloé, recovering from a heart operation, sets herself a hectic pace and puts her life at risk. Arben gains in confidence and appreciates working with the living more and more. Relations between Hugo and Alyson become complicated.

The sudden death of a patient leaves the team in shock; the parents demand an inquiry. Nathalie Ferrand, the hospital's director, welcomes two substitute doctors and sends Arben back to pathology to autopsy the body. Chloé cannot bring herself to admit her weaknesses; Hugo wants to accept his.

Chloé, stubborn, pushes herself to the limit. Following the departure of one of the two substitute doctors, Arben returns to Internal Medicine. The autopsy's findings undermine the team. Relations between Wagner and her son Hugo become colder. Alyson, Arben, Hugo and Chloé are caught between a rock and a hard place.

After Chloé has a heart attack, Professor Wagner takes care of her. Alyson and Hugo make several important discoveries at Chloé's home while Arben feels guilty for not suspecting anything. Alyson, in shock, questions her abilities as a doctor. In neonatology, Hugo worries about the fate of a premature baby, born of a denial of pregnancy

When she wakes, Chloé's behaviour destabilizes those around her, especially Simoni. The director announces to the staff that the legal department will question everyone. Alyson, Hugo and Arben find themselves up against the wall.
