What a disappointment. This show’s title baited me, an avid animal lover, into thinking I’d learn something from it. But alas, it’s just a compilation of stock footage and terrible jokes. Part of the problem lies with Zoofari only telling us what is being shown, which is not only redundant, but it also limits what can be told. On top of that, the jokes SUCK. I hope you like lame puns and animal stereotypes because that’s all you’re gonna get! My biggest gripe, however, is the complete lack of educational material. This show is on Nick Jr, is it not? Then why is every episode deliberately going out of its way to avoid teaching us anything?! And when they DO say a fact, it’s usually followed up with a lame pun or a selfie montage to make us forget that we even learned it. The best word to describe Zoofari is “Fluffy.” Not just because of the surplus of dogs and cats they show, but because it’s just that: Fluff, padding, filler, a 22 minute long distraction. Show this to your kids if you like, but keep in mind that they won’t learn a darn thing from it. If you want to get your kids into animals, just put on Wild Kratts.
