After reading the negative feedback about Season 8 online (mainly on YouTube) wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it but for me it was in perfect balance with the rest of the story with character storylines ringing true to the very end. Great battle scenes (I read one review complaining about the battle with the Night King being in the dark but I'm guessing they missed the fact he's, y'know, the NIGHT King). All the way through you're completely unsure whether or not your favourite characters are going to live or die. Brilliant series. Right, it's back to Season 1 for me now.

Probably the most successful TV show of all time (if you include the millions of viewers who "unofficially" streamed it online). A true classic fantasy, although the Fantasy element comes quite far in to the series. A very hard hitting (full on sex, nudity, violence and gore), with a story you will NEVER predict - stars you would never in a month of sundays predict could go, drop when you least expect it. A classic series which PROVES that producers need to make MORE tv shows based on fantasy books please!

The writers have managed to create a perfect version of George R Martin's harsh world, keeping the suspense so much that both I and my wife look forward eagerly to each new episode. Perfect TV - just wish Google had it at time of air - living in the UK we have to give our money to the greedy Murdoch (Sky) Corporation if we want to watch :-(
