Wow what can I say. This was without doubt THE best series, let alone cop series I think I have ever seen. At the end of each episode I felt physically, and mentally drained, and at its conclusion I was left feeling in awe of possibly the best acting its been my pleasure to witness. Both of the main characters not only drew you into their world and life you could actually empathise with them. I believe another series is in discussion or production but without these two. I believe it will only involve those now who are at the top of their craft.

This series 2 is, in my opinion: incomprehensible, Inaudible, unbelievable tripe. I can only imagine that the positive reviews have been written by people who either need one more brain cell to make up a synapse or have a vested interest. Of course this may be a 'generational thing', I am in my 70th year, but, if so, pass me the petanque set.

Season 3 is awful. (season 1 is 5 stars, season 2 is dire... 1 star, and season 3 is dire... 1 star) Season 3 starts well with a good first episode but goes badly downhill from there. Becomes boring and irritating in its constant switch between the 3 time periods. When the 2 detectives are young, several years later, and when they are old men. The acting is poor in season 3 with the black actor Mah. Ali being awful.
