Chloé hardly has any leads on little Noémie's whereabouts. One of the children's drawings catches her attention: it depicts Noémie holding hands with a giant, deer-headed figure... The investigation leads Chloé and Michaël to a mysterious warehouse, the illegal depot for a network of poachers, during which time Noémie's lifeless body is found in a chapel in Vielsart forest. 2016 Arrow Films

While analysing the crime scene, Michaël and Chloé notice that Noémie's body has been moved. The case takes a new turn when the autopsy reveals a symbol carved into the little girl's scalp: it's Béranger's symbol, the killer's infamous signature! At the abbey, whilst Lucas' efforts to integrate Béranger into the community begin to bear fruit, the new suspicions weighed against the ex-criminal cast doubts on his place amongst them. Is it possible to trust a child-killer? Should he be allowed to stay amongst us? Although everyone around her seems persuaded that Béranger has relapsed, Chloé's investigations lean in favour of his innocence. While investigating Béranger's past, Lucas receives a visit from his brother... Patrick Stassart. The latter tries to make him see reason and asks him to make Béranger leave the abbey before it's too late. So Lucas goes on a retreat to his own family, as if he needed to remember the basics. Afterward, he then tests his student Béranger's convictions by entrusting him to Brother William, who heads the abbey's workshop. There, Béranger is given a seemingly impossible task: to repair the community's old truck. For their part, Chloé and Michaël are also scouring Béranger's past, hoping to find someone likely to reproduce his crimes. They discover that while in prison, the famous murderer maintained a passionate correspondence with an admirer, Sarah Decoster, the criminal's biggest "fan". When they learn that she also tried to contact her idol at Vielsart, they decide to use Béranger to lure in the young woman. 2016 Arrow Films

After the fiasco of arresting Sarah Decoster, which ended in the young woman's suicide, Chloé is forced to accompany Béranger on a visit to his dying mother. She teams up with Lucas who is determined to decrypt the criminal's past. During this time, Emilie is enjoying her birthday party in full force at the Stassart household, while Patrick uses the moment to try to save what's left of his project in the eyes of the province's governor. But Vincent's behaviour and an outburst on Emilie's part start to spoil the party. Back in Vielsart, Lucas and Chloé bump into Vincent and his gang who notice Béranger in their vehicle. Armed and seriously inebriated, they're willing to do anything to take justice into their own hands. Béranger has no other choice than to flee into the immense Vielsart forest. During this time, Emilie is enjoying her birthday party in full force at the Stassart household, while Patrick uses the moment to try to save what's left of his project in the eyes of the province's governor. Vincent and his gang are in hot pursuit after Béranger, and succeed on getting their hands on the ex-criminal. They decide to take him to a hunting post that only they know about. Chloé has no other choice than to assemble a team, this time with both of the Stassart brothers (Lucas and Patrick), the only two capable of tracking Vincent across the immensity of Vielsart forest. The unlikely trio is in a race against time: they must find Béranger before Vincent and his gang take justice into their own hands. For Michaël, things get complicated when it seems that a new child (Laurent) has gone missing in Vielsart. He'll have to investigate all by himself. Guided by his intuition, he eventually finds a lead but is too late. The child has been found dead, in another chapel, with Béranger's symbol carved into his torso... 2016 Arrow Films

While at the abbey, Lucas is required to do penance and the Prior takes advantage of the Abbott's wavering health to take control of the community, Chloé's investigation leads her to Marianne, a bonesetter living on the village outskirts. Returning to the abbey, Chloé is cornered by Béranger, who reveals that he knows the identity of the Toy Dealer, the man who held her prisoner, along with her little sister, when they were children. Béranger offers to make a pact with Chloé, which would force her to lie to the people closest to her, to Michaël and her superiors.... All in exchange for information on the Toy Dealer. 2016 Arrow Films

Chloé and Michaël are called to investigate a strange incident at the abbey. After assaulting a monk in the sacristy, a mysterious stranger seems to have fled into a centuries-old underground tunnel... a passageway that leads directly outside the abbey into Vielsart forest! What if Béranger knew about this tunnel since the very beginning? 2016 Arrow Films

By tapping into his last reserves, little Bastien manages to escape his aggressor but falls into a deep coma. While he undergoes treatment at the hospital, Chloé and Michaël look into the deer head. It seems to be connected to other, older facts that involve a former village gang and a "hunting accident". While digging through the archives, Chloé comes across a name: Lucas Stassart. The young monk reveals some hard-to-swallow truths about his troubled past to the investigators and in the end, he gives up the identity of the mask's last-known owner: his brother Vincent! 2016 Arrow Films

An investigation is opened by Committee P (the police of the police) on the circumstances surrounding Vincent Stassart's death. Commissioner Gomaz accuses Chloé of acting alone and calls her entire investigation into question: what if she's been manipulated by Béranger since the start? Suspecting that Chloé is mentally fragile, he suspends her from her functions. At the same time, Patrick, devastated by his brother's death, decides to accept Decoster's offer. Little by little he devises a plan: he'll take advantage of the All Saints Day mass, when the abbey re-opens its doors, to infiltrate the building and dispose of Béranger. 2016 Arrow Films

As we watch a recap of the events that led Judith to lose her sanity and murder the children of Vielsart, Chloé is granted a reprieve from Judge Henrart to finish her investigations. She manages to retrace the final elements of the investigation, all the way to Judith, and comes across Michaël who has been left for dead... but, to our great surprise, is still ALIVE! 2016 Arrow Films
