About this show

The world may know them as Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Batgirl, but not-so-typical teenagers Diana, Kara and Barbara, alongside their Super Hero friends have much more to deal with than just protecting Metropolis from some of the most sinister school-aged Super-Villains. After all, being teens is tough enough, what with school, friends, family and the chaos that comes with managing a social life. But add super powers and a secret identity to the mix, and things can get a lot more complicated.

A much needed improvement from the source material that is the original series. The new designs and directions they took the characters make them feel much more distinct than the OG series and they now have much more unique and distinct silhouettes. The art style helps them stand out too from other cartoons in general. A very unique looking show in comparison to other cartoons airing as of now. Jokes are pretty good, the animation blows the original series out of the water, and the writing overall is good. Character personality's are especially way better in this series in comparison to the original, with the characters feeling more distinct from one another instead of the original show where character personality's could blend together since they, at times, felt so similar to one another. Biggest downside the show has is that the show is stuck in Cartoon Network's "11 minutes per episode" shtick. I wish the average episode was 22 minutes long instead. Sometimes felt like episodes just ended too soon. I do appreciate the lack of serialization too though. Especially in a world where more and more cartoons feel the need to have an overarching story be front and center. Overall, pretty good. If you want a charming, unique show then give this show a chance. If you want a sterilized, market-friendly first show though, go watch the original.

I like this iteration, but more importantly, my girlfriend's daughters love it. This show turned them on to the world of superheroes, but also shows them that girls can be just as good as the boys, if not better.
