Exposed to both the original anime and manga at a tender young age. I can vouch for this series. Of course with everything has pros and cons. The jump between the various animation styles can be irking at times with stiffness and unnatural movements on occasion. I must admit that it does bring a special grit to combat, specifically bringinga special life to Dragonslayer. The original voice actors from most [if not all] of the characters are notably absent. However the newer voices and banter is fairly entertaining. There are obvious tweaks from the manga unfortunately. However it isn't incredibly hindering. I recommend to any Berserk or anime fan.

An extremely philosophical, gory, and action-packed story. Don't listen to all the hardcore manga people who say this show isn't good just because the comic is good too. Each character is distinct in personality and goals, and the story develops with a dark and gripping plot that makes you question God's relation to self and other deities in this new world. This is probably the longest review I've ever written on a movie in general.
Scuse You

While the project was ambitious, the 3D animation style fails to capture the depth of Miura's picturesque artwork and destroys almost all potentially great visuals . Even worse, it feels like the show neglects story progression, character development, fails to set tone and uses greatly disorienting cinematography to hide how little the 3D model characters actually move. They even stripped the complexity of the Guts that manga readers love and quite frankly, that was the end of the line for me.
