Pressure Cooker

In each episode of Pressure Cooker, viewers will see three new teams compete in a different city in the USA for a cash prize. One member of each team is a chef, while the other member has little to no culinary expertise. The teams will have a limited amount of time to prepare dishes, and with just a small budget, a map and a smart phone (with no internet), they must source the best produce from local suppliers and create a world class meal for the panel of judges. IThree teams are challenged to give Philadelphia's famed street food a facelift. Inspired by the creativity immigrants used to originally invent these dishes, our teams must now elevate Philly's famed street food by reinventing them into a brand new culinary experience. But armed with limited navigational tools, the team must find their way around this foreign city in an attempt to collect the necessary ingredients, bring them to our Pressure Cooker Pop-Up Kitchen, and create a dish that pays homage to the past while also setting its sights to the future.

Using the bounty of the sea and other regional and seasonal ingredients, they must race around the streets of Portland, find and buy their ingredients, and cook up an entr e and a dessert sure to please the palate of any self-proclaimed "Mainiac.
