About this show

See where it all began in 1960s Peckham, with the Trotter family all under the one roof: Grandad, Joan, husband Reg and the teenage Del Boy. Plus, see the teenage versions of TV favourites Boycie, Trigger and Denzil. All is 'cushty' for the family, until ex-con Freddie 'The Frog' Robdal appears and things begin to change... This critically-acclaimed, one-off feature length special is an essential addition for all fans of Britain's favourite sitcom, Only Fools and Horses. Written by John Sullivan (Only Fools and Horses) and starring Nicholas Lyndhurst, James Buckley (The Inbetweeners) as Del Boy and Kellie Bright (Bad Girls) as Joan Trotter, this is the long anticipated prequel to the story of the funniest British family of all time!

Sublime mix of humour and melancholy, paving the way for Del and Rodneys future. The chemistry between Freddie and Joan was wonderful, proving that Rodney was in fact born out of true love and not a careless fling. Wish there could have been more episodes but Rock & Chips is a perfect final legacy for John Sullivan.
