Sabrina, The Animated Series

Sabrina, sick of her seemingly mediocre existence decides the grass must be greener on the other side. She casts a spell that switches her life with Gem’s. Sabrina soon becomes bored with Gem’s spoon-fed lifestyle and wants to go home. But Gem, now holding Sabrina’s witch-power doesn’t want to give it up! Sabrina must trick Gem into switching lives again.

Uncle Quigley, sick of being unappreciated runs away from home and leaves the family with a really mean nanny. The Spellman girls despise the militant nanny and turn her into a free lovin’ hippie. Now the nanny doesn’t take care of them at all. The girls realize how much they miss Quigley and are desperate to get him back.

After ignoring an important household rule, Sabrina finds that she has caused Cinderella to appear in Greendale. She discovers that Cindy is a whiney, lazy, jerk. When Sabrina tries to send Cindy back she accidentally sends Harvey to fairy tale land! She must return Cinderella back to where she belongs and retrieve Harvey before her family finds out she didn’t follow the rules.

Sabrina tries to win a spot on the cheerleading squad before Gem. Her only requirement; she must impress the incredibly snobby cheerleaders all week long. Unfortunately, it happens to be the same week that she must guide her old friend Norma Alphalinear, around school. Yikes! Norma’s a total geek! So Sabrina casts a spell to make Norma cool but instead everyone wants to be like Norma. Sabrina must reverse the spell before she too turns into a Norma-Zombie!

Harvey is scared about getting a vaccination. Sabrina makes him feel better by telling him its no biggie. However, when Sabrina finds out she has to get a shot for Witchitis she chickens out. Avoiding the doctor, the needle, and all those scary things in his office she heads home not knowing that she contracted Witchitits. Even when she learns she has it she still refuses help. It isn’t until her germs grow to human proportions and threaten her friends that she seeks out help.

The Witches Council has decreed that Sabrina must attend Witches Boot Camp. She cannot get her full witch power until she attends and passes. Sabrina isn’t too worried, until she comes up against her drill sergeant, Malissa Forethought. Malissa fights Sabrina every step of the way. She even taunts Sabrina for being a half witch. Sabrina learns to use her powers for the good and win over the stubborn witch.

Sabrina befriends a stray dog named Alvin. She promises Uncle Quigley she will take the best possible care of her new friend. After the thrill wears off she begins to ignore the pooch. Starved for affection and food the pup accidentally gets into the Spookie Jar. The magic turns Alvin into a vigilante for canines. Salem is wise to him, but no one will believe him…until Alvin kidnaps Sabrina’s family! Sabrina must stop this puppy before he and his friends take over the world. Sabrina learns that all he wanted was someone to pay attention to him.

Salem’s old warlock buddy Hephastus comes in town for a visit. Salem, embarrassed by his cat body, tries to disguise himself. When things get hairy, Salem must confess that he has been turned into a cat and he discovers that Hephastus was using a disguise as well. Everyone learns that competitiveness is silly.

Boogey Jr. (son of the legendary Boogey man) pays a visit to Sabrina and Salem. At first they are startled, and then become sympathetic when they learn that he is afraid of his own shadow! Boogey Jr. is not living up to his father’s frightful expectations. Sabrina helps Boogey to face his fears! Now Boogey Jr. must confront father and tell him he doesn’t want to follow in his footsteps but instead he wants to be an accountant. When Boogey Jr. shows his dad how good he is at the whole number crunching thing, Boogey Sr. is proud of his son.

Sabrina is disappointed at not being picked to go on a field trip by her favorite teacher. Salem steers her to the mysterious Wise Warlock. (okay, so he just helps to earn frequent flyer points) The Warlock tells Sabrina that she suffers from a broken heart. Duh! She knew that already. So the Wise Warlock sends her on a quest to find someone who has never had a broken heart. Sabrina discovers that even someone like Gem could have a broken heart and that everyone gets disappointed from time to time. The only cure is to Time.

The Spellman’s Great-Great-Great-Grampa Gandolf comes to Greendale for a visit and to renew his Witching license. The family loves him but his stories from the old days and his haphazard spells begin to unnerve them. If Gandolf doesn’t get his license renewed he’ll be forced to retire and they’ll be stuck with him! Gandolf refuses their offer of help, so the girls must trick him into practicing magic. Because of their meddling, he almost does not pass. But, thanks to his years of wisdom and experience….he does!

Sabrina and her classmates go on a camping adventure! Her Uncle Quigley is acting chaperone. Gem uses this opportunity to get to Sabrina by daring her to play a prank on her sweet Uncle. Sabrina does it to save face but feels horrible all the while. The tennis match of pranks goes on until Harvey is in danger. Sabrina realizes that dares are stupid and people only end up getting hurt.

Sabrina is on a quest to raise the most amount of money for the Library fund. She does and even earns a little extra. Sabrina gets sidetracked while eyeing a vintage collectable doll in a store window. She takes the extra earnings and splurges on herself. Why not? She earned it? That night the doll comes to life and shows her the error of her ways. Sabrina learns that because of her, her friends and family’s lives have been ruined! She wakes up the next day, feeling guilty. She returns the doll and learns a very important lesson in stealing.
