Doctor Who: Classic

The TARDIS lands on Skaro where the travellers meet the peaceful, non-aggressive Thals and the heartless, destructive and emotionless Daleks. The Daleks want Skaro for themselves. The Doctor has other ideas.

Ian, Susan and the Doctor realise they've been exposed to radiation and must get treatment if they are to survive. When they are captured by the Daleks, the Doctor is interrogated but this gives him a chance to learn something of the history of the Dalek race.

Susan delivers a message of peace to the Daleks from their old enemies the Thals. The Daleks appear to accept the offer but they are secretly plotting revenge. Having recovered from radiation sickness, the Doctor sets about planning an escape.

Following their escape the travellers can only watch as the Thals fall into the Dalek's trap and their leader Temmosus is exterminated. The surviving Thals take the travellers to their camp where they explain the history of their race. They may soon have to abandon their pacifist beliefs if they are to survive.

It is time for the Thals to strike back against the Daleks with the help of the Doctor and his crew, but they face a treacherous journey to reach the Dalek city. Meanwhile, the Daleks decide to increase the level of radiation on Skaro to wipe out their enemies.

The Doctor's attack group have reached the Dalek city and they set about sabotaging the surveillance equipment, but their activity soon attracts the attention of the Daleks. Meanwhile, Ian's group face a perilous chasm as they continue their expedition.

The Thals begin their assault on the Dalek city, while the Doctor and Susan are still held prisoner inside. The Thals must find a way to prevent the deadly radiation from being released, but can they overcome their pacifist beliefs in order to destroy the Daleks?
