About this show

HISTORY follows the lives of four American men and their families as they strive for the sustenance they need to make it through the harshest season.

This show gets better every season. Yep, my favorite is Tom (and Nancy) with Morgan following in a close 2nd. I constantly shake my head in wonder at all they accomplish. I miss Kyle and Ben but look forward to the new family. I wish I could live like they do.

To answer the comment below about the gasifier, as someone who's studied WW2 history I can attest that yes, it is a valid method of powering vehicles and was used during the war when gas was rationed. It's not used by more people because as is shown in the episode, hydrogen gas won't power a vehicle to move very quickly, plus the gasifier requires a lot of wood to power a vehicle over long distances.

There's not a lot of wholesome stuff on TV anymore. This is the only show my wife and I care to watch. Just real American men living off the land with wisdom and skill God gave em. Nothing politically correct popular about it. Just men being men.
