David's plans to go to work and Michael's plans to visit a friend abroad are both scuppered by last minute travel rule changes, and some news regarding a work opportunity for the pair turns sour.

After discovering the plan, David (David Tennant) and Michael (Michael Sheen) are dismayed to learn news about who will be carrying on without them.

David is deflated to discover how people feel about his character, Michael is overjoyed to discover how people feel about his. Anna (Anna Lundberg) and Georgia (Georgia Tennant) consider their options.

There is fallout from how David (David Tennant) and Michael (Michael Sheen) have behaved. They both fear for their careers whilst waiting for a call with their agent. Georgia (Georgia Tennant), Anna (Anna Lundberg) and Lucy (Lucy Eaton) discuss a charity evening that they're due to perform at.

The boys are butting heads, not helped by having to read with various new potential cast members. They are increasingly annoyed at each new interaction, while Simon (Simon Evans) tries to keep the ship steady and Georgia (Georgia Tennant) marshals her charity team.

The project is in real danger. Simon (Simon Evans) hears desperate news from Georgia (Georgia Tennant), via Lucy (Lucy Eaton), and tries (once more) to get David (David Tennant) and Michael (Michael Sheen) to work together. But it ultimately falls to a final pair of new potential cast members to offer David and Michael a new perspective on their friendship. But is it too late?

David and Michael discover that the studio has now cast two actors. When they discover who has been cast, both men are upset, as they each have a history with the actor taking their place, one known and one unknown.

Accepting their fate, the guys prepare to leave their homes. David is finally due back at work, Michael thinks he can get to New York, and the girls perform their charity sketch.
