I am going up to the mine this summer, One of my best friends is partners with the guy who originally bought it, I think from Larry. Any way we are going up for fun and maybe a little gold. But I bought a cheap EMF meter... Cause I binged watched both seasons in 3 days. I definitely learned a lot. Also went up last weekend to Sumpter, Granite Falls, and Baker City, real nice people in that area.

I investigate the paranormal myself and although I would never consider myself an expert, I have caught quite a few mistakes during both seasons. What I believe is the mine is indeed haunted (they are on to something with their quartz/energy theory) and that the minors are real, but the "investigators" are actors. The producers probably figured they should hurry and jump on the "ghosts are cashing in" train. And decided it would be much cheaper to higher 2 low budget actors than a whole team of real paranormal investigators. BUT, thats okay, not all of us started with Paranormal Psychology Degrees. Its a good story line,, but with each episode, easier to see that it was all planned out on paper before they ever started filming. I wouldn't be suprised if that was part of the original pitch "And we can even use the gold we mine to pay for the production ITS FLAWLESS!!!" lol

I went into watching this already rolling my eyes..but was surprised. It was a combo show, half ghosthunters, half mining show. I really feel for the miners..not really the paranormal side, (which the 2 hunters did take WAY to seriously, no ghost has ever killed a person lol), but for the hard work they put in actual mining. Will watch next season if it gets picked back up.
